The College Welcome Party and General Orientation, organized by the Clark College of Science and Technology (CCST) and led by Senior High School Principal – Mr. Arvin Mark D. Serrano, took place at Robinsons Balibago on July 01, 2025. The orientation represents not just all about policies, rules, or regulations but the brand-new start of learning, enjoyment, and success of the upcoming college students in their education.
The event started with the opening prayer, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem. In the opening remarks, Mr. Ross C. Ramirez, the head of academic affairs, warmly welcomed the freshmen, emphasizing that the orientation is not just about celebration but a significant milestone marking the first day of their college journey. He highlighted that the event marks the beginning of their courses and the path to future success. Mr. Ramirez also shared three key pieces of advice for the new college students. First, he encouraged them to embrace the joy of learning, reminding them that college is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Then he inspired them to stay humble and to show respect towards their fellow students, teachers, and the staff at Clark College of Science and Technology (CCST). Lastly, he emphasized the importance of resilience, encouraging students to persevere through challenges they may encounter during their journey.
Mr. Arvin Mark D. Serrano, the senior high school principal, and Ms. Rochelle Mae Baluyut, the assistant principal, discussed the history of the CCST. The academic policies, including the grading system and academic honors, were explained by Ms. Rosela B. Gayan, the head of the college registrar, and Ms. Maricar M. Dela Peña, the assistant college registrar. Departmental organization, together with strand/courses, department organization, and activities, was introduced by Sir Ross Ramirez, followed by the general rules and regulations expounded by Mr. Jayson Alconcel, Hospitality Management Head, and Mr. Christopher Galang, Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) coordinator.
The event ended with the welcome video from the whole CCST family. The school, administrators, staff, and teachers cannot wait to start a wonderful and meaningful school year for the new college students.
